Nike has been developing Air technology for over 30 years to make the shoe lighter than air. The VaporMax project drew on it and took 7 years of its development. Unlike the Air Max, the VaporMax direction set out on the path of tread analysis when walking or running. The designers then arranged the air capsules according to need and load. The ultimate goal was to develop a shoe, in which you "float" on air cushions while running. The technology also made it possible to get rid of the foam middle part of the shoe, thus reducing its weight to a minimum.
